Our Role in the Byford Rail Extension

Byford Rail Extension

The Byford Rail Extension is a big step forward for the Byford and Serpentine-Jarrahdale community. Once it’s done, locals will have a direct 42-minute train ride to Perth’s CBD. The project includes extending the Armadale Line by 8km, building a new ground-level station in Byford, and upgrading Armadale Station to an elevated design. By removing level crossings and improving traffic flow, it’s making life easier for everyone in the area.

But for us, this project is about more than just transport upgrades.

What We’ve Contributed

We’re proud to have played an important role in this $1.3 billion project:

  • Backing Diversity: We’ve been the main supplier of female and Indigenous workers for the project.
  • Indigenous Apprentices: Indigenous apprentices have been gaining hands-on experience and will be fully qualified by the time the project is complete.
  • Skilled Operators: Our final trim operators have ensured the work is done efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Local Jobs: We’ve prioritised hiring locals, bringing jobs and opportunities to the community.

Looking Ahead

The Byford Rail Extension is creating a stronger, more connected future for the area, and we’re proud to have been part of it. At Connect Site Services, we’re all about supporting projects that not only deliver great results but also make a real difference for local people and businesses.
